managers during a 3 month period.


THE UNEMPLOYMENT PROJECT
The Job Workshop started in 1999 and is one of our applications of a Solution-Focused group method. Björn and Eva worked in groups with people with occupational disabilities in a short time frame.
The Job Workshop include:
-Working out what participant wants and need of a future workplace.
-Finding such a place.
-Starting to work.
-Maintenance of work

THE SICK-LEAVE REHABILITATION PROJECT
- A Solution-Focused Group Methodology for Rehabilitation of people on Sick-Leave

We have done two related projects focusing on long term sick-leave:
1. Group therapy with participants on sick-leave compensation six month to three years.
2. Group therapy with participants on sick-leave compensation one to five month.
The participants in this project were assessed as of risk of a prolonged sick-leave period

The projects were both linked to controlled studies.

The result of the first study is available here in Swedish and an abstract of it is available in English. We hope to present a full report in English within the near future.

The promising results of the second study are now available here in Swedish. The English version are going to be presented here after publication.

Reports
We presented the group methodology and our research at the E.B.T.A conference 2001. Here can you download the presented material (pdf-files).

The group methodology report is an easy to read description of the basics of the solution-focused method used both in the sick-leave and unemployment projects. The authors are Björn Johansson and Eva Persson.

Abstract study 1 is a one page description of the results of our first studie on long term sick-leave. The author is Caroline Klingenstierna.
